The Head Of Her Loyal Subject

Medieval times almost mid evil times, the way how people lost their live for the simplest of things including but not limited to standing when you should be bowed and looking into the eyes of a royal subject. I close my eyes and sometimes I visit places far from here and back in time. My bearings fortunately never take me into the barbaric times.

The Head Of Her Loyal Subject

The man before the queen made terrible slips

He tried to apologize for what escaped his lips

Excuse me your Highness it was a stupid mistake

He begged her forgiveness that she not his head take

Exception will be given if you can meet my request

And service the royal appetite with superior prowess

Do this and your head will not be by tomorrow dawn

Off from your shoulders and your heart beat gone

Forgive me your Highness I have young ones to feed

How can I be successful where no knight could succeed

Every suitor to your Highness has left the crown unsatisfied

Regal lady please forgive me that my family shalln’t be denied

Last chance to save them, will you do

Or should I call the guards and be gone with you

Your Highness in the dungeon do shackles lie

And can your men build a bed of hay by the shackles nigh

Lady your handmaiden she is the same size as you

Swop garb with this servant and switch into her underclothing too

Unconscionable, but I shall for the sake of your kids

Be in the dungeon at the Moon’s highest and I'll satisfy your bids

Join me as I climb the wall to the dungeon from an awaiting rope

Every fancy that dazed lowly maids who for weeks couldn’t cope

Can be yours but your guards must not answer your scream

That night the queen’s ecstasy was beyond her wildest dream
