Long White Shirt

The night brings tears that dry with the sun and though they are gone the sadness lives on. Then, a sign again that you should have believed, that you could have waited out the storm. They all pass. Sometimes we just have to believe

Long White Shirt

Listless and tired and wanted to be

Over this episode, this tyranny

Nightmare but I was fully awake

Got no rest, I was living another mistake

When day broke and the sun was high

Had no tears left, I cried with eyes dry

I felt cold although the day had great heat

There was no warmth from my weakened heart beat

Eluded before and every time the same

Satisfaction turned from me, contentment never came

Hugged by the long white vest intimately

I thought I would be reminded of the way love hugged me

Reminded no but at last a comforting word

That all is well and to forget all that I had heard
