Unbreak My Heart

Years ago I had a close friend who claimed she would never love again because she had lost her one true love. We were at school then, she lived a bitter life, blamed herself for everything and as it seems, she never gave her heart seriously again. Today she is alone and wishes she had not spent the last 30 years with her eyes and emotions closed. Recently another friend met up with her first love who kept her heart when he moved away. After 20 years apart his kiss had no sparks. She kept alive a memory and falsely believed it was forever. Her first love is someone she could never love

Unbreak My Heart

Under all the strain it tore in half

Not clean, jaggedly can’t smile, can’t laugh

Barely can raise your eyes to see

Real tears have been flowing profusely

Everything before you seem hopeless

All the expectations all the progress

Kindness failed you and honesty too

More efforts didn’t please, now there’s nothing to do

You are hooked by a past that obscures your sight

Holds you in dark to never see the light

Every chance you got, you tried but in vain

And now you tire, give up, never love again

Romance gone forever at a young tender age

The other carries on with life and turns a new page

Jim Reeves sung Where Does A Broken Heart Go
