Falling From The Clouds

I drifted amongst the clouds for a while and felt the world was a better place. I found peace and love and opportunity and all was well. Nothing seemed to bother me how ever painful at the time. Love as promised, true love can heal anything. And I felt healed. I felt ready to take on a new life.

Falling From The Clouds

Floating in the clouds beneath the blue skies

All the world before me pleasures my eyes

Little chance of seeing the evils beneath

Lots of greens and blues I see, stillness and no grief

I am so far away the world seems at peace

No screams in the night, the quarrels cease

Got people moving around like ants hurrying by

Fish must be in the water but I can’t see them all I try

Rivers move through mountains and I see white mist at falls

Once I heard horns beeping and the birds’ calls

More quiet it became as I drifted higher

The clouds take you away from the evil tongue of a liar

How sweet to drift carefree away from their eyes

Ears oblivious to the evils, the pain and the cries

Comforted by the distance, they take me so far away

Loving each moment of the blissful view every day

Only now a high wind has blown me, way down

Under clouds that gather, spilling tears to the ground

Dark clouds have pushed me to a dismal view

Screams, cries, pain and broken hearts bid my dreams adieu
