But Love Said Goodbye To Me

Sometimes we don’t have full control of what happen and although we might enjoy it then, we soon realize how wrong it was. I am thinking about drinking alcohol, keeping questionable company. My heart burns from the things that others do, or say they do, things that once done can not be changed

But Love Said Goodbye To Me

Beautiful love you are a mystery

Unfeigned love why do you elude me

Though you knocked you never came through the door

Love so true, so precious you don’t come anymore

Oh love’s facsimile you fooled me today

Ventured to knock and crossed my doorway

Entered with a façade that so perfectly

Showed all the characteristics I wanted to see

And now after you stole my heart

I am left broken as you depart

Didn’t expect you to go, I trusted, had faith you believe

God brought us together and what ever we conceive

Our future could be yet you strayed away

Opened the door to lonesomeness who opted to stay

Door left ajar now all others can come in

But all who enter seem wrought in sin

You my love, did you knock just now

Every sound is like you some how

Though I never met you before

Out there on the porch is a silhouette I adore

My heart beats faster as I rush to the door quickly

Enter I pleaded But Love Said Goodbye To Me
