I’ll Never Say Goodbye To Love

I used to sing a song from the Carpenters every time love seemed to elude me. T one stage I was convinced that time had gotten away and there was no one out there for me. The poets and songwriters seem to think there is someone for every one but I was getting lonelier with each day. Then I realized that until you can have BFT – Belief, Trust and Faith all given from the Almighty, love will never be possible.  There will always be doubts

I’ll Never Say Goodbye To Love

It’s that time already, now love must go

Last day upon us, last time to know

Love’s smiles and laughter, the touch of love’s hand

Now it’s goodbye warm feelings and hello bland

Emotions are bursting, ready to get out

Very hard to cry in anguish, very hard to not shout

Every feeling of despair is upon me, not wanting to go

Rains from the clouds match my eyes, they too know

Separation for any length of time seems an untimely end

And every goodbye seems a possibility, you can’t pretend

You can’t presume togetherness either, for you one day

Got to hope for the best but expect the worse, that’s what they say

Only I pray the worse is behind us and the best yet to be

One more chance to earn blissfulness for eternity

Dreams of happiness that will one day come through

Belief, Faith and Trust is what I’ve learnt to do

Yesterdays were the building blocks of many tomorrows

Every brick laid then to shut out all sorrows

True love works hard at barricading threats and dangers

Omitting none of the cunnings from family, friends or strangers

Love is leaving today but true love never dies

One tear appeared and before I knew it, swollen eyes

Venom of doubts rushed me but with BFT from above

Eyes are dried, I am confident I’ll Never Say Goodbye To Love
