Allow You An Eternal Peace

May God give me the words to express the grief ii share with one of my fb friends and her family at the lost of her grand mother.  I never knew the grand mother and I only know Tamara through some brief comment I saw on facebook and it is enough to know that her friend speak very highly of her and she cared dearly for her grand mother. May these words bring some solace to Tami, her family and the friends of Grand Ma Margarite

May the Lord

Allow You An Eternal Peace

At first your eyes had grown dim

Locked tightly now,  you’re with God, in a peaceful place with Him

Loved all, loved strong and loved me best

Oh sweet gran you have earned  your Eternal rest

We laughed lots together, you and I

You winked at those you liked when they passed by

On times in the kitchen you loved stirring Cou Cou

Usually you played with others and loved playing peek a boo

And I watched you granny, how you loved to smile

Never a frown, rocking in your chair and singing all the while

Everyone who asked got no, you never wanted to cut your hair

The stories and jokes you told us from your rocking chair

Everyone loved your Black cake, they all craved for it, but me

Regretfully I don’t like Black cake but everything else was yummy!

No one knew if you were kidding about the milk man

Asking if he brought any bottles yet, so with our concocted plan

Lightheartedly answered, he did and responded four

Putting ourselves in deeper because you said, “he forgot one more”

Eyes seem to tell stories and yours granny, they were saying goodbye

And I wasn’t ready for you to go and from then I started to cry

Can’t be selfish at this time though, to want you here

Eternal Peace awaits you and one day we’ll all be there
