Second Hand

I see how hard it is to stay happy when the thing or person that brings you happiness is not around. Our happiness is dependent on us and not on a third party. The truth is that we are who we are; the more happy the more people are attracted to us that bring happiness. If we are sad, we tend to attract sadness into our lives.

Second Hand

Should have been happy but not today

Everyone is off having fun, but me, I must stay

Cooped up here hoping to hear

One voice, one special voice to end  my despair

Nothing for hours and night falls

Day passed slowly and with all the calls

Honey’s voice was never there, never to be

And now I feel the solitude, despair, I’m lonely

Nothing I did stopped the Second Hand from ticking away

Didn’t know before how long would be a day
