And Have You Ever Been

The morning started with a bright sunlight and a cloudless sky. Everything pointed to a great day yet enjoyment stayed just out of reach. The sun got too hot and the day seemed too long. I prayed for a new day, a new start. May be tomorrow I will get it right. But tomorrow never comes

And Have You Ever Been

After the sun is down

Not a smile not a frown

Darkness very near

Have you ever been there

A moment’s bliss

Valued like this

Every heart beat sweet

You ever been where pleasures meet

Over the hill far away

Under a bridge where ladybirds stay

Ever walk through grass five feet tall

Very careful, still you fall

Ever hoped for sunlight and only see

Rainbows in the sky shining brilliantly

But you can never find where they end

Ever wanted to hike with just one friend

Every wish, every dream, every fantasy subdue

Nothing is worth being there if I’m not there with you
