There many things that can easily scare

Horrify you beyond compare

Really grotesque stuff that makes the skin crawl

Or the kind of things when you see them you bawl

Under the shadows of dark evils abound

Ghouls and poltergeists they say can be found

Have you stopped before to wonder about these

Traumatize yourself with incessant worries

How often have your fears been things you see

Evil men who threaten to rape you eventually

Some threaten to take your life or that of your friends

Have you noticed evils lurk also just around bends

A family member with lecherous hands

Deviously invites you to dinner but with ulterior plans

Once you are committed and in their snare

Weave their evil, your greatest fear

Shadows may obscure your phantoms in life

Obscure a pointed gun or branded knife

Fear of fallacies and the obvious are common place

Darkness makes us brace and takes the smile from your face

Evils though will come in guises as ordinary men

And wield greater dangers and say Amen

There’s great deception out there and if ever you have doubt
