The Panic Button

In times of troubles and despair we can count on friends but if they are not there we can count on our Omnipresent Father who will answer our earnest calls. It has been along time now since I have been physically able to do for others the kinds of things that come easiest. My heart and spirit often are willing now to reach out to those who have always been close but I have realized, I can’t help all neither should I try. My help now comes with prayer and the encouragement of my friends to do the same.

The Panic Button

Today is very special to me

Happy Birthday friend, I wish you’ll be

Enjoying it the way you ought to do

Precious are these moments and often too few

And so when troubles come by

Never let them in, however hard they try

If reflection lingers and turns to doubt

Convey your desires to the Father and He will drive them out

Be open minded but more, open your heart too

Use your belief, trust and faith that the Lord will guide you

Through the thickest of troubles the worse of fears

Temptations and doubts for all your years

Once the slightest incidence threatens to ruin your day

Never forget I’m here and God is less than a button away
