I was waiting for a call and it never came. I had to go about my work and when I did, the call came through. Luckily I had told the others that I was expecting it because they called me to the phone. My, these cordless phones, yah would think with all the presence of cellular phone technology that the cordless would be real capable of the 2 miles we were promised 10 years ago

Dog gone it! The phone rang Out in the yard and I heard bang bang Now it rings when I am way out here Then I heard them, Honey are you there Couldn’t believe it! It was really for me! Unable to leave the yard cause I was feeding the puppy They brought the extension and I said hello My ears caught an accent that was easy to know Excitement came like a raging flood Only the voice was great but the reception was no good For a brief moment I heard “I’m here!” Five seconds later the line was cut off, five seconds later a tear!
