An Insensitive Act

What often seems to be insensitive may carry different meaning when we investigate the carrier. The trouble is that the pain within seems so recent because it has been allowed to grow, to fester. Why should such darkness control the beauty of those things we love like expressions of laughter? When the nurse removes the bandades, she cares but it might pain. You can only heal properly if they are removed. The pain is fought with controlled measures of pain.

An Insensitive Act

At times you may have to be

Nonchalant and seemingly

Insensitive about the things you do

Never letting others know you are hurting too

Sometimes you must remove the pain

Even if it cause them to cry again

Nurturing the darkness by pretending it wasn’t there

Soon leaves a heart beyond repair

If you fall you must get up and go again

This is the only way a baby will train

It teaches you the things you can do and what you ought not

Very many bruises left unattended will eventually rot

Every spoken word, though the same, from trusting ears

Assimilated will carry new meaning that will quell old fears

Calm the spirit and will eventually teach you

Trust again, an uninhibited friendship and love that’s true
