The Shower After

Have you ever notice the difference in a working day and a day at home. Perhaps the first prominent difference is the longer time you get to stay in bed. When you do stay at home you get to day dream of the things that can be. Those things that you only dream of but in most cases are unrealistic. I have used much of this time to peep into the future.

The Shower After

Today I worked but tomorrow

Have a day off and so to follow

Early getting up from bed

Slumber will be my peace as I rest my head

Hours I will sleep and leisurely dream

Of the future I plan, a lover’s scheme

With love and laughter, honesty and happiness

Endless days together of a union that’s blessed

Rainbow in the sky to point our way

And gardens of floral bouquets where we will play

Forever I’ll dream and plot of when

There will be no more fears or doubts but until then

Evening has gone and now soon comes my laughter

Right when I wash away the days cares with The Shower After
