Darker Than Any Storm

And this is the condemnation, that light cometh to the world and men loved the darkness rather than the light, because their deeds were evil. I love the light and wish that my deeds will always be in the light but there is a darkness that is dark without the brilliance of light, the darkness of not understanding. When you are unable to help a person out of this darkness it can be devastating.

Darker Than Any Storm

Daybreak should have come but there was no light

All around me remained as dark as night

Rain clouds didn’t gather and the sun rose

Kept its usual brilliance but darkness impose’

Evening before had started this fate

Readied me for disaster just after 8:00

Thunder didn’t roar and lightning didn’t flash

Had no weather indication of the impending crash

And I was hopeful that the new day would be

Nothing like what it became, I expected what obtained usually

As I awoke and after my prayers

New day was becoming the worse of my fears

Yes, I was starting to realize

Something disastrous was about to materialize

The day was dark although there was light

One of the worse blackouts of day and night

Regardless to my efforts on this day with no Internet

My phone gone, no email, Facebook or Skype, it was my darkest time yet
