Ugly Toes

Sometimes we need to have a blemish to help us to keep real. If we don’t then we might become too conceited with our beauty that we might start being lovers of ourselves. It is important for us to have adversity to appreciate those things in life that are wonderful. I saw a girl recently who could appreciate why a rose had to have thorns. She thinks it was a mistake in nature. I think a rose’s beauty is made greater by the presents of thorns

Ugly Toes

Under the sheets she hides them from all to see

Got no pictures that capture this blemish in her beauty

Look at them in the flesh and you might laugh

You’ll see hoofs like the appendages of the African giraffe

They are long and hard with little space between

On the left foot they’re dark and on the right a mossy green

Exceptionally hideous but why only God knows

Such beauty in a woman, she needs those Ugly Toes
