Too Hot In The Kitchen

There are situations when a woman’s attractiveness can work against her. I remember when at school, the most attractive girl never got asked for a dance because she intimidated the boys, they were scared of her beauty. What about the nurse in the operation theatre whose beauty causes doctors to make mistakes. Do we want to keep her there at the expense of the patient.

Too Hot In The Kitchen

The cook was the best and for many years

Our clients commented with fervent cheers

On the floor was a new waitress and when she went by

Her sizzling beauty caught the cooks eye

One step in his direction and he would spill

Too much pepper and salt and offered his dishes still

Inebriated by her presence he dashed the wrong spice

Not aware he had added already he added ingredients twice

The patrons complained of the deteriorated taste

He was stupefied by her rolling hips and thin waist

Every dish now flawed because he couldn’t concentrate

Kept blundering towards a dire fate

It was only a week before it caused his reputation to smash

Through no intended fault the new girl caused business to crash

Customers were dropping off and some of the men

Had talks with the owner and then

Esther the new girl was dismissed for her distractive appeal

Nothing else could’ve been done and the decision had no repeal
