All Now Done

A man driving through the countryside after spending precious time at family tosses a cigarette butt from the window unsuspectingly. The butt rolls from the wind of a trucker and is taken into the nearby meadow where it starts a brush fire that spreads for mile finally engulfing the home of the man’s family. Although there was no lost of life, all the photographs they had shared on the man’s visit were destroyed with all the other memories. Our actions can have serious repercussions that we are sometimes unaware of.

All Now Done

A light wind blew and faded away

Love unsure opted not to stay

Learnt the emptiness you can feel

Not having the promise that we’ll

Open doors together like before

We close our future and it’ll be no more

Dark, scary emptiness that burns deep

One promise broken and then we weep

Never knowing before the pain to be apart

Emptiness abound when love opted to depart
