Teach Me How To Pray!
There are things in my past I wish to erase Evils that marred me during my younger days And now they seem to have festered in me Creating a blanket of negativity How can I sweep them all away
Moving them out that finally they Exercise no further hold on me
How do I dispel them that my thoughts can be free Oh torment why have you for years Weakened my trust and strengthen my fears
There must be a way I can be rid of you Oh torment I’ll find the things I must do
People I saw knelt in pain and rose in joy Rose with a new strength that that they employ And now I’ve learnt how to end my dismay Yesterday I asked a friend to Teach Me How To Pray!
