Please Let The Tooth Fairy Know

My friend told me this story of her little girl, now 5 years old that has been losing her milk teeth and I thought this was rather early. Well there was one that seemed a little more eager to wait until she was 6 years, which would be to far long now. She is Just A Darling Angel and wasn’t prepared to have this shaky tooth stay too long.

Please Let The Tooth Fairy Know

Put a tooth for the Tooth Fairy and she’ll leave for you

Like she does for other children a coin and this promise too

Expect another tooth will grow in its place

A stronger tooth to adorn smiles on your face

So when the tooth shook and wouldn’t come out

Even her teacher tried in a tiring failed bout

Let your mommy try again but bring it for me to see

Enclose it in a container to secure it from the Tooth Fairy

That evening when she got home her cousin said

This lil ting, yah cry baby, and shook his head

Her courage grew more determine and she went to granny

Eyes wide opened, hands on kimboes, she said granny pull this for me

There she stayed, didn’t flinch and granny pulled and not in vain

Off she went to her cousin and said “Never call me cry baby again!”

Once she was ready for bed she told her mommy

Take care of my tooth and please tell the Tooth Fairy

Hold off for a day her teacher wants to see the proof

For just that day then the Fairy can take her tooth

And she went to bed with a smile on her face

It was delightful to tuck her in that night and get her embrace

Realizing it was morning she jumped out from bed

You saw her mummy, did she take my tooth from by my bed head?

Kept my promise dear, her mommy told the Fairy come another day

Not to take the tooth or leave the dollar as she may

On a piece of paper signed with a heart and written in blue

Was “Dear Tooth Fairy, bring back my tooth and my dollar too!”
