Flowers In The Forest

What a dilemma to discover something so beautiful in the strangest place and can’t take its beauty with you. I remember that walk in the woodland area where we were told not to disturb the ecology and soon found a beautiful plant. I sat there looking at it as if hoping to fully absorbs its memory but now it has vanished.

Flowers In The Forest

Footpath came to a stop but I went on

Lost myself in the thicket, all familiar trees were gone

On a ridge I climbed until there on top

Was a small patch of grassland and then a drop

Eucalypti scent blew in the air

Rain was set up every where

So I started back and tried to retrace

I couldn’t recognize where I was, it was like a different place

Nothing was the same , but I could see

This unusual flower with incredible beauty

How thankful I was then that I had strayed

Every turn led to this beauty Mother Nature made

From this dreadful forest something so unique

Only if I could pluck and take home that I might peek

Regularly at its beauty but if I do it would die

Even a poem about it or photo would lie

Such beauty can’t be captured two -dimensionally

There is nothing that can substitute for this flower’s beauty
