A Different Kind Of Love

I asked her on Easter Day for something to write on and together we thought of love, how Jesus’ love was so different and what He gave was so unbelievable yet real. It is hard to imagine what those witnessing felt. I wrote on something different, I wrote a poem called Emergence of the Holy Spirit.  This acrostic was written with her in mind.

A Different Kind Of Love

All time I’ve waited for someone like you

Didn’t know it’d be someone I once knew

I met you before and now I’m meeting you again

For me it’s like a drought land needing the rain

Frozen hill tops that greet the arrival of the sun

Eyes that long for when the pain will be done

Return happiness for the melancholically sad

Every blessing you’d lost and now wish you had

Nothing seems to daunt this feelings you give

This purpose to explore this new life to live

Keeping a smile now etched on my face

Is the miracle you’ve brought with your elusive embrace

Now with all the pain a day might bring

Darkness that threatens the new spring

Or when doubts strangle my growing hope

For once a love has arrived to show me how I can cope

Love that in spirit dies for me

One that truly loves and loves completely

Verily, verily my love, I say unto you

Every cell of my being loves you too!
