Happy Vallentine's Day

I see the number of people who parade through town and the streets in the traditional reds and whites and the number of people buying special stuff to celebrate this special night then I wonder what happen to the love that we never share with those so close but so far? I think of the next door neighbor that I never speak with, the workers on my commute to the job, the car park attendant, the times I sat in the bus and never spoke to those around. If we could spread a little more love to these people then we would play our part at making this world a better place.

Happy Valentine’s Day

How the reds and whites stream the streets

And the shoppers are searching for those special treats

People even playing cupid while others wish on a star

Perhaps better luck will show who their special loves are

Your love enchanted by promises tonight

Valentines send gifts and passions ignite

And the old tunes spread their magic

Love songs memorized and singing along is romantic

Each love tune sounds a readiness and listeners can’t wait

Nighttime’s too far away but it’s not too late

To your friends turn or that stranger, give them a smile

It is free and it’ll brighten their day, if only a while

Neighbor say to your neighbor the uncommon,” How do you do?”

Early today this morning, you may hear “Better now! And you?”

Show those workers you see and never speak to a loving hello

Do this with the workers there and every where you go

And let today be to spread love to all around you that we can say

Yesterday’s gone and tomorrow will be a brighter, more special day
