Cockadoodle Doo

Romance is generally celebrated with the traditional stuff like the chocolates, strawberries, the sexy lingerie, the special candle lit dinners, but there was one story that caught my attention recently, “The Apple Of My Eye.” This reference to the eye’s apple goes back really far and in the Bible it was a show of the fragility of a relationship and the need to give utmost attention to its safety.

Happy Valentine’s Day

Have Chocolates and Roses, Strawberries and the rest

All the Ornaments that make this day your best

People receive gifts or they get special dinners

Put their skirt suits aside and trade them for his and hers

You’ll be romantic in your mood and expect your partner will be

Very ready to do anything, even a trip to gay Paris

And in the fuss of the moment you forget why

Love treats and you treat love like the apple of your eye

Even when it’s the darkest time love beams its glow

Never a dark or a gloomy moment with the love you know

The apple of your eye must be protected, hidden under your wings

In times of fears, in doubts, in times of evils or wrong doings

No earthly being shall love more dearly no love as true

Every love one has a beloved, every hen a cock too

So pleasure them on this special day, remind them of who they are

Delight your special love, show them a time befitting a star

And let your light of love glow to places far away

You’re the apple of my eye! when love is right tell them today
