I Sing Lustily

The words of the Psalm 100 resound in my head every time I hear people speak of playing joyful music. The Lord loves music and He knows how beautiful music can be. It seems music was intent on pleasing the soul. Have you noticed how music is the internal language of sound? How a violin can sooth any ear? Well, not just a violin but a maestro playing the violin, I say this because my violin playing used to send the dogs running.

I Sing Lustily

I make a joyful noise to remove all sadness

Serve the Lord with gladness

I come before His presence with singing

No doubts it is He who made us, we are His pleasuring

Give me then the early morning songs

Let me hear sweet rhythms for which my soul longs

Usher in the new sunlight with melodies

Songs by local and international celebrities

Though I didn’t get to sleep at all last night

I stay here ready to greet this beautiful sunlight

Let me rejoice for all my maladies are left behind

You play Mr. Radio and I have a clear and healthy mind
