Not These Please

No where to hide the keys he left them on a rock

Only two days before his slippers were stolen, what a shock

There has never been a similar incidence on our beach

The beachcombers never took property, although quite in reach

He was more careful to not wear similar gear

Eliminating the need to leave his slippers anywhere

So he wore shoes that can be taken into the sea

Extra strong, water resistant and very comfy

People passed by the keys and he kept a careful eye

Looked really keen at a very suspicious guy

Everything was good then some men passed with a pit-bull

Although they showed no interest their dog took an eyeful

Showed his resolve, raised a leg and my dad cried not these please!

Eyes were on the pit-bull who had already marked the keys
