Where Has My Girl Gone?

The Earthquake in Haiti was responsible for the lost of many lives. They say then people will survived the initial blow but they died from being caught and not able to escape to air, water and food. If we can rescue people soon enough then the death toll may not be as significant. Last night were learnt of a little 16months old baby that escape the ordeal by walking towards the light

Where Has My Girl Gone?

We had troubles before but never like this

Had days turmoil but they ended with a kiss

Every problem I swept under mats on the floor

Resolutions this Old Years ended this, I hid no more

Except the dust hides my girl now

Huge pieces of rubble separate us and no how

Am I able to see where she now lays

Such a horror it’s like the end of days

My hope was strong though my hands grew weak

Yesterday I moved tons of stone and today I still seek

Got little energy left but hopes are strong

I will keep ploughing these days long

Rubble covers my girl like the mats covered  dust on the floor

Looking around I see obscurity from the buildings the quake tore

Give me strength Lord I know she is here some where

Only it’s all so endless this debris, this despair

No sign of my two year old precious baby Shawn

Earthquake, you’ve taken her, tell me Where Has My Girl Gone?
