Unsung Heroes

Living Intelligently From Experience

A Path in the Lives and Experiences of People

as they affect many, taken from

lives past, lives now and lives that will be

This poem was an entry under LIFE along with some 34 others in the FCLE (Frank Collymore Literary Endowment contest. FCLEL001

Unsung Heroes

Unselfishly she would give and faithfully she’d say

Nothing I have wasn’t given by the Lord I obey

She built communities of givers who did the same

Unwittingly she would worked, seeking no fame

Never too tired to give those in need

Giving returned nothing but smiles, from those she would feed

Her home was renovated to house 20 or more

Every one slept in cots she laid on the floor

Rooms and homes were later found to give each privacy

One thousand past through her home and monthly, full occupancy

Everyone who knows her, says she does more than anyone should

She is one of our Unsung Heroes, working with Pride of Nationhood
