The Moral Meltdown

To you dear friend for the work you’ve done

Having the courage to continue though you’d been shun

Evangelizing to those needing you the most

Missions spreading beyond our humble coast

Opening doors and letting the destitute in

Reaching out to those whose hands were clenching

At no time were you seeking reward

Learnt to make do with what you could afford

Made no apologies for doing what you thought right

Everyday praying for the Father’s foresight

Lucille my friend you’ve paved the trail

That others after you may successfully prevail

Delighted I am that you’ve been recognized

Onslaughts were futile and so too the lies

When it mattered most you were always fervent

Now, well done thou good and faithful servant
