One Valentine’s Day

Our Lord and Savior of all Mankind

Never leave me alone and let me find

Eve of my rib, the apple of my eye

Victory in love to rid loneliness goodbye

And may she pray for me too

Let me be her love come true

Eden was beautiful but when I awoke

Nothing compared or was so equally yoked

There was a familiarity in her smile

It was as if I had known her for more than just a while

No animal in the garden had brought this pleasure to me

Every one before was created to satisfy a different faculty

She was unlike them all, Father, you knew my need

Delighting me greatly, so when you spoke, I agreed

Adam”, you said, “enjoy your new love but obey my Will

You mustn’t eat from the tree of the Knowledge, of good and evil”
