Miracle On The Hudson

My God, thank you for sparing my life

I live again to hug my kids and kiss my wife

Return to my daily work with new eyes

All because through your love I can be immortalized

Calm overwhelmed the passengers and crew

Lull of preparedness came when they prayed to you

Everyone showed great strength and unusual courage

Once Flight 1549 was afloat there was no time wastage

None of the 155 passengers where badly hurt that day

The media praised pilot “Sully” for his skillful display

He made superb decisions Lord but I know it was you

Encouraging his faith and inspiring his crew

Hudson River was like a safety net you putted  in our way

Using it was a great decision but landing came with pray

Ditching in the blanket of water was wondrous

Surviving it all unscathed dear Lord was miraculous

Oh Lord you saved ours lives from that untimely adversity

Now, save our souls that we may join you, one day in Eternity
