Lamb For God To Obey

I stumbled across this Prayer as quoted by a Facebook friend but at the time of liking it, I didn’t know its origin. Now that I know  it was one from Islam - Traditional Prayers, am I now suppose to like it less. The words still strike me profoundly and my inspiration I believe is guidance from the Lord so, I guess this is one of those Peter and Cornelius moments

Lamb For God To Obey

Lord, put courage into my heart

And take away all that may hinder me

My tongue Lord, free to proclaim what you impart

By my words may they understand easily

Father give me friends to help and advise

Our efforts Lord may they bear fruit

Remembering that all my actions are unwise

God unless in you they first take root

On you Father we put our trust

Do things to follow your way

Today I look about me and know that I must

Obey your words Father each day

Oh Lord give me strength and courage to be

Bold enough to say

Every word Lord with devout spirituality

Your servant, a Lamb For God To Obey
