A Lower Power Tower

And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech

Let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach

Onto Heaven and then nothing will be beyond us

When the Lord saw their work He said we must

Erase this ability and their language confound

Remove all communication so this will never abound

People must be scattered throughout the earth

Obviously God thought building so high would be of ill worth

We have come to see man repeating the Babel Tower’s history

Erecting Burj Dubai against all rational integrity

Refusing to use their money to help the many in need

This tower in Dubai, 2717ft is human violation indeed

One can see billions suffering with no food to eat

Water shortages, no cover to sleep and no shoes on their feet

Edifice this monstrous is empty power and pride

Real power comes from man 5ft tall who in the Lord chooses to confide
