Reflection – Ecumenical Service

Here is a poem that was lost in time, one that I jotted down on paper and was only recently found. There were a number of them and because I didn’t write accompanying preambles, I gave them all, this general one, that I may post them still. Here I tried to give them individual names, this one I called “Ecumenical Service

Reflection – Ecumenical Service

Remember dear Lord I pray

Ecumenical service was held today

For Independence our people did unite

Lord denominations prayed under sunlight

Everyone sang but I wasn’t there

Carrying harmonics throughout the air

The moment must have been filled with your glory

I wasn’t there Lord but I prayed I could be

Our Father you know my present dismay

Nationhood is still important to me everyday
