Reflection - Abyss

Here is a poem that was lost in time, one that I jotted down on paper and was only recently found. There were a number of them and because I didn’t write accompanying preambles, I gave them all, this general one, that I may post them still. Here I tried to give them individual names, this one I called “This Abyss

Reflection - Abyss

Reality confronts us every day

Every where we go and in every thing we say

Fools may walk around in a constant dream

Lie to themselves that things are not what they seem

Eyes wide open but still seemingly blind

Can’t accept the reality of what they find

There is a debt to pay for this abyss

It dims all the beauty and all the glitz

Once you awake to its reality you’ll wish to sleep again

Nightmares will no longer be an emotional drain
