Grace Glory Good – White Lies

Here is a poem that was lost in time, one that I jotted down on paper and was only recently found. There were a number of them and because I didn’t write accompanying preambles, I gave them all, this general one, that I may post them still. Here I tried to give them individual names, this one I called “White Lies

Grace Glory Good – White Lies

Get the picture? Did you see why?

Right may sometimes come from a lie.

And would you still hold it against me?

Can I not rest? Do you not agree?

Every consideration I made but I still

Got this very large, bitter pill

Lies may come so easily

One lie make two then lies come regularly

Realizing the pain if there was no lie

You’re tempted to make them your every reply

Growing up gives you new responsibility

Old habit like lies become your iniquity

Once before those white lies were my avoidance

Don’t lie any more now for fear of forbearance
