Auld Lang Syne - The Love of God

The Auld Lang Syne song evades me – I can never remember the words but the title of the song inspired this Acrostic Poem – “The Love Of God” that I wish to share with you. I hope the message becomes clear and that it can play some part as you say goodbye to the old year and hello to 2010

Auld Lang Syne – The LOG

All those days I needed you here

Unfeigned love beyond compare

Love that could stand the test of time

Do all to, the highest mountains climb

Love that eases the greatest pain

And in the worst of times choose to remain

Never deserting in sickness or poor health

Giving as much in poverty as in endless wealth

Such a love I found was always close by

Yearning to stay and though I can, why

Need never again spend life on my own

Every day from 2010 onward I’ll never be alone
