Auld Lang Syne - Reside In Peace
The Auld Lang Syne song evades me – I can never rememberthe words but the title of the song inspired this Acrostic Poem – “Reside In Peace” that I wish to share with you. I hopethe message becomes clear and that it can play some part as you say goodbye tothe old year and hello to 2010
| A Year has passed and memories linger on Unforgettable people who die this year gone Lost moments with those who were family or friend Done and will never see the year 2010 Last seconds are ticking away on the clock And on some doors new opportunities knock No more will 2009 offer when it strikes midnight Goodbye to those who have seen a last daylight Some dress up, drink, dance and go partying Year is ending and a New Year is beginning No loud music or alcohol can drown a misspent 2009 away Erase it all by starting 2010 anew, thank God, kneel and pray In Memory of the Dearly Departed in 2009 Family and Friends |
