Auld Lang Syne - Nothing Hidden

The Auld Lang Syne song evades me – I can never remember the words but the title of the song inspired this Acrostic Poem – “Nothing is hidden” that I wish to share with you. I hope the message becomes clear and that it can play some part as you say goodbye to the old year and hello to 2010.

Auld Lang Syne – Nothing Hidden

A world where nothing is swept

Under the carpet or grudges kept

Locked up in the chambers of the heart

Doldrums fade away as they depart

Life instead offering great merriment

And people rejoicing at days well spent

Nights celebrated with cheerfulness

Gaiety reigning as we meet each success

Such a world I pray for tomorrow can be

Yesteryear’s dreariness gone, brighter skies to see

None of past worries linger near

Enjoy the Old Year’s, have a Prosperous New Year
