Auld Lang Syne - Black Dress

The Auld Lang Syne song evades me – I can never remember the words but the title of the song inspired this Acrostic Poem – “Little Black Dress” that I wish to share with you. I hope the message becomes clear and that it can play some part as you say goodbye to the old year and hello to 2010

Auld Lang Syne – Black Dress

A black, skimpy, lace trimmed dress

Underwear red hot and skin smooth to caress

Ladies take great pains on this final night

Doing their all to make things turn out right

Let me recheck, right for what

A night of sexual liberation, a night feeling hot

Now if I remember correctly, the things red, black and hot

Give a clear warning that these are the things we ought not

So why do we want to start the new year this way

You complained last year that life was never okay

Never happy or successful, just blatant despair

Earnest prayer will bring prosperity in this New Year
