My year just started and now it’s gone

Every day slipped by unnoticed one by one

Rose up on mornings often unaware

Rapidly past each month and now the year

You may wonder why such disconnect

Casual you may think for me to have let

Hours slip by and to not know

Really wrong of me to let time just go

I understand your criticism but please hear me

Some time last year someone wished that I’ll be

Thrilled to the ultimate and before I knew

My life was blissful and the time just flew

Are you wishing for friends the same thing  

Sharing merriment with them and hoping
