Cockadoodle Doo

The Morning Show is part of VOB but they have treated my poetry respectfully. I have always written to VOB to comment on the talk shows and regrettably, only shows hosted by Dennis have read my commentary in verse. I do know of one other instance when Mr. Marshall read part of one of my poems. I am not sure why the deliberate shut out but I continue to write when they provoke commentary and continue to send.

Cockadoodle Doo

Christmas is my favorite time of the year

Once the month of December starts you’ll hear

Carols being played on the radio stations

Keep the mood radio friends cause we Bajans

Always will overdo buying and rushing

Dusting and repairing

Overdoing then on Christmas day

Only feeling invigorated enough to turn in bed and stay

Don’t even have noon planned, can’t think ahead

Luckily the music gets the spirit going instead

Energizes all Bajans as we multitask, knowing

Doing our fixing up has our spirits growing

Only because carols on the radio

Open these Seasons, awakening us to get up and go
