Grace To The Almighty

God give me strength, how can I

Resist getting into a plane, to be nigh

At her side through all the disdain

Comfort my baby Lord and quell her pain

Enough was enough and you Lord showed her the way

To give up on “the things that make people stay..

One of the things that I realize, looking back”

The perpetrators of abuse may have themselves been attacked

How like a cycle it is, this dark cloud

Endless screams for help though seldom out loud

And how children born into abusive homes soon are

Like their abusers, inflicting on new victims an ugly scar

Menacing and permanent if these victims have no belief

In the Almighty to take away all their grief

God I appeal for help to all injured parties

Help them all before they succumb to their injuries

Teach the futile relationships the time to turn away

Yet those struggling aimlessly, protect them while they stay
