Behind Every Dark Cloud

Sometimes we have to face very traumatic circumstances to put a halt to future problems. One of us is sacrificed so that hundreds maybe thousands can be saved later. The one lady rose from her ashes and started an organization that will SAVE many of us later. Her mother is proud of her but we as a nation acknowledge her greatness and though we have not saluted her effort by making and ambassador like we did so hastily with others, we applaud her effort and hope we can reap the many rewards of a more peaceful Barbados and bring an end to Domestic Violence.

Behind Every Dark Cloud

Brutal verbal and physical abuse

Emotionally cripple still they try to seduce

Have no regards for what they put you through

It’s hard to break from the promise of saying I do

No more, no more can you take

Deep in your heart you start to ache

Eyes puffy from all the tears

Vicious bruises that covered you all the years

Every one of them would eventually go away

Regardless to their might they never knew how to stay

Your bruised soul though doesn’t easily mend

Damage is more permanent but thank God He is a friend

And through His love you can finally leave

Repairs He starts and soon you no longer grieve

Keeps you strong and opens your eyes

Comforts you from the pain and the lies

Leaving was hard but the Lord showed you, you had to go

Opened the way to teach others what you now know

Under His guidance you survived that others may too

Domestic Violence was a dark cloud but behind it was you
