We Have No Doubts Or Fears

I sleep in a house with all of my windows opened, having only mosquito mesh on them. I know and trust my dogs to warrant off dangerous people as they have done in the past but I sometimes wonder, after decades of living the same place in the same way, in a difficult neighborhood, there might have been only one attempt at intrusion. It would be great if all homes felt as safe.

We Have No Doubts Or Fears

When miscreants are found

Enforcements abound

Have you been the victim of crime

Authorities will ensure your assailant does time

Violence when identified is nipped in the bud

Ensuring no criminal lost of your precious blood

No need to fear or doubt, those that police

Our streets and neighborhoods will keep the peace

Dodds with its millions to make and millions more to sustain

Obstruct the progression of disruptive behavior again

Under the care of Her Majesty’s best

Blatant criminals are rehabilitated with tests

Then what about the growing incidences of policemen

Straying from securing us and rather choosing to offend

Or young boys holding up Security Vans and being shot dead

Rewards asked by kidnappers or they’ll cut off the victim’s head

Felons released only to do repeated crime

Escapee Mark Anderson Franklyn not staying his time

A daily amount of almost $70 for each inmates upkeep

Really more than people pay some hotels for a good night’s sleep

So shall I ignore it all and walk with no cares

They tell me as Bajans We Have No Doubts Or Fears
