Upward And Onward We Shall Go

A positive life leads to a healthy and successful life, and it all starts from thinking positively. Remember as in Philippians 4 how we were advised to think positively, well there was a good reason for this. If we have evil thoughts or vengeful thought we soon fester in these ills and become bitter individuals. Make positive thinking your standard and encourage those around you to do the same

Upward And Onward We Shall Go

Up and On we sang in the old school song

Positive thinking and move along

We sang it with, “Up boys!” until the girls

Arrived at the school when we sung, “Up then!” for our little pearls

Regardless to who sings it the spirit remains

Doesn’t stray from its message, one truth obtains

And we as a people must see

National pride and industry

Develop a standard that we reach

Out and grasp growth, without breach

Not just increase in size but an increase in civility

We must better those before us with consistency

And integrity which had fallen on the wayside

Revive it and nurture it with real Bajan pride

Don’t let righteous living change with time

We must grow with honesty and make it prime

Every virtue our children have but quickly lose

Set a standard to ensure a virtuous adult life children choose

How many of life’s seeds are dropped on the way

And never germinate into our standards today

Let us therefore recognize the importance of each

Learn their standards and to the young ones teach

Generations together must come to know

Our path is Upward And Onward We Shall Go
