Don’t Want To Sleep Alone

Dew drops have started and I’m still here

Only her love has brought me cheer

No night has passed before without her voice

To send me to sleep, it was always her choice

Why loneliness Lord, why the monster of all

Am I left here tonight without her call

No delight is there in soliloquy

This title for a movie once attracted me

Then I realize is brought a horrific pain

One I frustratingly watched but never again

Shall I pass the time with such emotional play

Love if lost cannot be replaced with trivial relay

Exchanges you’ve seen traded with unscrupulous concern

Embraces from casual lovers, every night a new turn 

Promiscuous turns with each immoral heart

All because threads of passion chose to impart

Loneliness on love, so Lord please, not on me

One night by yourself can’t be such a tragedy

Night time will eventually pass and usher the light

Even though I’m feeling alone, don’t let it be lonely tonight
