Spring Garden Uh Coming

I like the music and sometimes I can be found watching the bands parading. I don’t go out in person but I watch it on television. One of the songs that had been most popular was Spring Garden Uh Coming. Whenever you hear this tune there is a feeling to jump up and start behaving like yah mek yahself.  Fortunately, I am reminded to “know ye that the Lord, He is go and it is He that have made us and not we ourselves” from Psalm 100

Spring Garden uh Coming

She always seemed disinterested and would lay back there

Pon the bed showing off her fancy underwear

Red lacy trimming on her beige boy shorts

I know cause I’ve seen them on the line with all sorts

Now I had crept in when I heard the tune

Given what had happened last time I was quieter and soon

Girl turned and this guy too

And I was ducking and sweating like no one knew

Risking arousing her may result in detriment to me

Didn’t know if she still wanted to go, you see

Entertainers playing their Calypsos on the Highway

No more hesitation, I say let the music play

Under my new intention I pushed my head in slowly

Had a good look around then pulled it out quickly

Carefully I kept it up but I never heard

Once she is asleep like that I couldn’t say a word

May be she wanted me to wake her that she may go

I stopped at the doorway knocked firmly and shouted, Hello!

No more reluctance I just rushed in

Girl screamed out like she was wide awake, “Spring Garden Uh Coming!”
