Beverley Bonita Barker Barker from my Alma Mater buzzed me today Enquired if I was doing okay Very down I was but why should he End this great day with the darkness that engulfed me Rains didn’t threaten, it was not the rain Life dealt a blow and each day’s a bargain Early a bright sky came today You’d delight in it too but for medical dismay Barker then broke news that changed all for me Our sister now is gone, he said, we just buried Beverley No chance to say farewell to my friend I had not communicated and didn’t know of her nearing
end This lady spoke tenderly and her smile was like an
embrace A pleasure and a delight, she brought smiles to your
face But now her time here seems to have been A chance to meet friends, she was warm within Remember the great rippling of love with smiles that
grow Keep a place for any adorable people you come to know Eternity with the Father, but she’s gone before me Remember to my dear friend to keep my place in Eternity |
