This Mighty Body

We started to accept that parts of the body may be defined by other inanimate objects over the years, thanks to the writers and movie producers. We have all grown so accustomed to this that now when a man starts to describe a woman like his beloved vehicle, there seem no wrong. In truth, I am not comfortable with a thing of such natural beauty being described as something that can be made by machines.

 

This Mighty Body

 

The poets and other writers through out the years

Have romanticized all types of body parts, even the ears

I have heard that eyes were like stars and windows to the soul

Seductive neck supports the head and is in full control

Maybe you have heard of her rosy lips

I have no questions about the gently swaying hips

Girl with long legs or a thin waist

Her slender back and her gorgeous face

They say a woman’s hair can tempt your fate

You touch its silk, smell its fragrance and its soon too late

Body parts have possess writers and singers too

Our times have derogated them to objects of taboo

Don’t speak of the headlights on the lady or her bumper

You shouldn’t compare such man made forms with the beauty in her
